Can you tell me more about Developmental Screening?

Developmental screening is a review of a child's skills and functioning in order to gather information about his or her strengths and needs. Developmental Screening can occur once or it can be repeated periodically as the child ages. When it is repeated, it is called Developmental Monitoring and involves observing a child's growth and development over a period of time.

FAMILYHELPonline.ca uses the ASQ-3 & ASQ SE to screen development in children between 0- 6yrs. The ASQ-3 is a standardized screening tool used worldwide. The screening and monitoring program is completed online and provides parents with valuable information about their child. Screening results can help with choosing activities and skills to teach, as well as identify children who may need additional support.

For more information about the ASQ and the ASQ-SE check out more informaton about developmental screening and evaluations under the service tab.

How many email exchanges would we have?

This is your decision. The number of sessions are usually determined by family needs and priorities. Parents requesting adoption coaching may feel the need to reconnect during specific stages of their family’s adjustment.

What are your counselling and coaching fees?

The recommended fee range for Ontario Social Workers in private practice (OASW-2004) was between $110-150 per hour.  Since the cost of operating a practice online is less than costs typical of traditional services, I am offering reduced rates to reflect this difference.

An Introductory 20 Min session is also for $15.95 for first time users. I want to enable you a low risk way to check out whether online counselling is right for you!!

 i. $85.00 (Can) per 60minute (1hr) Clinical session

ii. Reduced rates for higher volume of sessions

       1.      2/ $161.50

       2.      3/ $229.50

         3.      4/ $289.00

iii. Other arrangements can be determined depending on family needs

iv.  Workshops and other services are determined individually.

Can I meet with you or possibly have sessions face to face or telephone as well as online?

Yes. Anyone wishing to arrange alternate options can contact me to discuss this.

I live outside Canada, can I still access your services?

YES!   I am located in Ontario, Canada.  When you choose to engage in online services, it is as if you are coming to Ontario and accessing services here.  In order to serve you, I will ask you to agree/consent to this condition before beginning service. For additional information please click here.

What if I have questions before we start?

If you have any questions that I have not answered throughout the site, feel free to contact me via email or by telephone.  Generally, this refers to questions regarding arranging service.
